Kate is also involved in teaching undergraduate medical students, postgraduate doctors and registrars in General Practice training programmes.
After returning to New Zealand in 1988 following four years in the United Kingdom in rural General Practice and participating in their postgraduate training programme, Kate and her husband settled in Warkworth. She has spent the past 23 years in New Zealand in rural General Practice.
Kate is currently the Deputy Chair of the Waitemata PHO.
To keep herself busy she has three daughters and interests include diving and travel.
